Take Shelter III
Take Shelter III is a unique one off print is created using both etching and block printing techniques. Shapes printed in a palette of bright colours overlap evoking a house shape with a blue textured layer of scratches added using an etching plate.
The transparency of the printed shapes enables interactions between colours to be seen.
The print is created using oil based inks on somerset 300gsm cotton rag paper. The image size is 28 x 28 cm with a bright white deep bevel cut card mount in a 40 x 40 x 2cm white textured solid wood frame. Framed image is a mock up for illustration purposes only.
Picture glass can be replaced with acrylic glazing to enable print to be posted. As with all works of art care should be taken to display or store away from direct sunlight. See print care and delivery FAQ’s here
